Marking Criteria
Marking criteria includes performing techniques, intonation, rhythmic accuracy, timbre, fluency, performing style and expression, and completion within the stipulated video recording time limit.
Competition awards
The champion, first runner-up and second runner-up of all classes will be awarded with a trophy and certificate.
Other competitors will be awarded with a medal and certificate according to the rewarded marks.
All classes categorise the rewards into Gold award (90 marks or above), Silver award (85 to 89 marks) and Bronze award (80 to 84 marks) accordingly.
The champion, first runner-up and second-runner up of all classes should be awarded with 85 marks or above.
Competitors receiving 70 to 79 marks will receive a participating certificate.
Number of awardees in the Classes
Each class includes places:
The champion: 1 competitor in each class
First runner-up: maximum 3 competitors in each class
Second runner-up: maximum 3 competitors in each class
Teachers awards
To honour and acknowledge instrumental teachers and education organsations in encouraging students to join the musical developments:
Teachers who recommended 15 or more students to join the classes will be awarded with Gold award “Music-Art Education Promotion Achievement Award”
Teachers who recommended 10 or more students to join the classes will be awarded with Silver award “Music-Art Education Promotion Achievement Award”
Teachers who recommended 5 or more students to join the classes will be awarded with Bronze award “Music-Art Education Promotion Achievement Award”
Instrumental teachers will be awarded with “Outstanding Tutor Education Award” for their students who are the champion, first runner-up and/or second runner-up in the classes.
