Obtained both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Willy Tan majored in Violin under the teaching of Ms. Beedarn Chao. After graduating from CUHK, Willy was granted the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship by the Conservatorium of Maastricht to further his study and obtained a Bachelor Degree of Music in Violin Performance. He then proceeded to Lemmensinstituut in Belgium, pursuing Masters of Music in Violin Performance. Besides touring with orchestras in many cites in Europe, Willy also attended numerous masterclasses in Austria, Spain, Poland, Belgium, etc. Willy is active in Hong Kong pop music performances, accompanying a number of local singers including Denise Ho, Janice Vidal, Leo Ku, Fred Cheng, Gigi Leung and Ivana Wong. With his passion in education, he is teaching in Primary and Secondary Schools after obtaining his Postgraduate Diploma of Music Education from the Hong Kong Baptist University. Willy also holds ATCL, LTCL and FTCL diploma in violin performance.
