Yung's passion for music began at a young age when she started learning under the guidance of Mr. Cheung Hiu Fai. Later, she pursued further studies at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She was under the guidance of Zhang Chong Xue, Head of the Chinese Music Department at HKAPA, and Gaohu virtuoso from China with National Class One Musician accreditation, Prof. Yu Qiwei. Currently, Yung is honing her conducting skills under Mr. Ho Man-chuen's mentorship. Additionally, she has received training in the Banhu from Mr. Wei Guanhua and valuable guidance from Mr. Chen Yaoxing and Mr. Gao Shaoqing.
Yung is actively engaged in various performance activities. She has been invited to participate in the television program "The Works" on Hong Kong Radio Television (RTHK). Furthermore, Yung has made numerous appearances in large-scale events produced by TVB.
Yung has achieved remarkable results in various competitions. She was shortlisted in the Erhu Professional Youth Group of the Nanyang International Music Competition and won the championship at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. She also received the Gold Award at the National Youth Art Competition "Tomorrow's Stars."
As an active member of multiple music ensembles, Yung collaborates with renowned groups such as The Macau Chinese Orchestra, The Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble, The Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra, The Music Office Instructors' Chinese Orchestra, and The Academy Chinese Orchestra. She has had the opportunity to perform and exchange experiences in various locations, including Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Shanghai, Shenyang, Jilin, Shenzhen, and Macau.
Yung is currently a part-time musician of The Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble, a part-time tutor and performer at the Music Office, and a member of the Huqinist. Furthermore, she actively contributes to promoting erhu education and serves as a tutor for instrumental classes in several primary and secondary schools.
